Executive Committee - 2010

The Executive Committee of the Graphic Arts Services Association meet routinely to formulate policy and to work with the salaried staff to assist members and the wider graphic arts community. Detailed profiles of our elected officers are coming soon.

The National Executive comprises the following elected officers:

GASAA Staff Members

Garry Knespal

B Com (Industrial Relations) and Fellow of the Australian Society of Association Executives, Garry Knespal has been the Executive Officer of the Graphic Arts Services Association of Australia and NSW since 1986.

Over these years he has shared many experiences of the pre-press sector through strong personal contact with members. Representing pre-press interest on various industry bodies he ensures the vital role the sector plays is fully recognised. He is currently a Director of the National Printing Industries Training Council.

He has previously served on the Board of Printsuper and the Australian Graphic Arts Conference. He has lead several overseas delegations to major trade shows. Garry also has UGRA Expert Certification (UEC) and leads the regional UGRA audit team.

Jacqui Wonder

Jacqui is completing a Bachelor Degree in Commerce, majoring in Marketing & Finance, at the University of New South Wales and is on track to graduate mid 2010. Jacqui aims to work in the area of marketing and communications when she completes her degree.

Jacqui has been with GASAA since the start of 2009 and operates as the Marketing and Communications Director, and also assists with administration and upcoming events for our members.

Matt Dunn

Matt is completing a Bachelor Degree in Commerce, majoring in Services Marketing, Hospitality and Tourism, and Business Law at the University of New South Wales, and is on track to graduate end 2010. Matt aims to use his degree in services marketing when he finishes university.

At GASAA Matt assists with sales, events and membership at the association, and is taking a lead role in managing PrintWorks 2010. Matt has been with the association since the start of 2010.

Mark Reay

Mark provides onsite and external IT and Website support services to GASAA.

Steve Crowe

Steve is a leading industry journalist and commentator, and is the latest addition to the GASAA team to assist the association in the lead-up to the showcase print event, PrintWorks 2010 (Darling Harbour, 20 - 22 September). He will work with Garry Knespal and the team at GASAA on other special projects to help build on the growing success and influence of the association. Steve will also work with GASAA's Marketing & Communications Director, Jacqui Wonder, to enhance the communications and information services provided by the association.

Steve Crowe was editor of ProPrint magazine for over 15 years and still contributes to this leading publication. His background in journalism and photography dates back over more than 20 years, in which time he has written for newspapers and magazines in entertainment, music, photography, motoring and the environment. He is a veteran of many print industry exhibitions, seminars and conferences in Australia, New Zealand and around the world, including Drupa, Ipex, Print USA, PacPrint, PrintEx, and Printech, and has been responsible for organising the publication of extensive reports on all of them. He has also given numerous presentations to industry functions and seminars on issues and technology affecting the industry.
